In the summer of '92 beneath the baking hot sun of Fremont, Nebraska something seethed from the underbelly of rock; it was loud and mean and aggressive and drove itself into the heads of those who listened with such verocity it could only be called NAIL.
Like any other creature, NAIL began to take its own shape and by the summer of '93 had produced its first album, a six song EP entitled "CRUCIFISH". Which was followed the next summer by a ten song cd entitled "ENDORPHIN" and yet a third album, a four song EP entitled "FLUID", in '96.
The driving force behind NAIL is a composite of four equally powerful parts. Seth Menking's razor-sharp guitar riffs and vocals cut straight through the rock, alternative, and underground stylings of his influence to come out the other side unique and original. Blaine Morris, a veteran drummer of many years, provides the backbone and brass-knuckles of NAIL with his knock you down and spit in your face approach to rhythm. Whereas Doug Baker takes a more snake-like approach to the bass guitar; slithering in and out of chords and changes with just enough ease and finesse to charm you before he bites. And last but not least, Mike Driscoll, provides a solid backing on guitar, while his gnarled lips spew forth an insurmountable rage. The combination of these four, seperately stable, ingredients makes for a highly volitile substance.
